Guru: Back In a Flash

Well where do i start, last i updated on my blog was couple of months back. Probably you wondering where did this guy disappear off too. A lot has happened in the past few months, I had to play father duties to my new born son whom is about 6 months old now. Its not easy playing daddy thou, takes a lot of courage. Speaking of my Career:
Heads Models and Glamasphere both didn't fulfill my taste buds, the deals were a bit sour. So i did some introspection and I realized what i need is not an Agency to take of my journey to glamor, I need to take myself there, I need to manage myself. So I have been doing so in the past few months.
I ended up participating in the African Guess Jeans Competition conducted by Base Models in Cape Town. Well they scouted me on the previous Men's Health Competition in which i ended up with a minimum of 500 votes, but was not good enough to make me win. So Guess Jeans supplied us with assignments that were extremely exciting and good for the portfolio. So you probably wondering what now? Guess what I dropped out, probably the most selfish decision I ever made. Why did i drop out? Well let me tell you simply because my head was not in it. After my second shoot of the Guess Jeans assignments, which was the "partnership" female and a male counterpart both half naked wearing jeans shooting a seductive jean shoot, I was criticized of my shoot and they were right. Being told that there was no connection between me and the girl, I cant blame the girl for being amateur I blame myself for not taking full control. So I was given a second chance, that's when i declined the offer because i already screwed up my chances. I had one month left out of 6 that was given, to do an Artistic nude, fashion, underwear and fragrance shoot. I had wasted too much time and my preparation was not on point.......
This was simply not my year of success but i plan to rise next year 2013

So for now I'll be traveling to Australia in December to meet up with some magazine editors. Wish me Best of Luck.

Will Guru sign up with Glamasphere Model management or Heads Model?

"Well people have been on my case for a while now, and i believe that i gave them the right to. Terms of my modeling career things went from good to bad and from bad to worse thanks to my previous agency. So people have wondered and asked themselves that what is this guy doing with all this talent and potential? That's the question that has been haunting me for days now. I believe to have had too many distractions, and sometimes i do things to make other people happy and put myself last. I have helped build a couple of agencies using my name and putting my reputation on the line and at the end of it all I gain nothing but a knife in the back.

Recently after i had decided to part ways with Hastings Models, i have been looking for one of the best Agencies that can best represent me and take me to my rightful place. Honestly speaking I have no competition amongst my South African fellow models just a matter of opportunity. After a long search i got a response from Heads Models and Glamasphere Model Management, i have thoroughly researched them both and on my list they exactly what I want. This is not a matter of me weighing my options its a matter of getting the best deal and ideal representation because its about time i wake up and go kick @** in this industry. There are a couple of movies lined up for me. That word came out from Elvis Nkosi himself, one of the best directors and producers in S.A , he has won awards for his local best film "A Mind Of A Tsotsi" all over Africa. Also on the other hand I'll be working on a few reality TV show project which are still to be set for production.

I believe to have a lot of people looking up to me and the last thing i want to do is disappoint them all. Its time i do whats best for my career"
Well people you have heard it straight from the Guru's mouth, he wants it and he wants it more than ever. There is more feedback to come on the issue with the Hastings Global Models known as "Team Hastings". To every model out there, before you join an Agency don't focus on promises and words focus on results and do your homework before signing up with any management for this is a tricky business.

The Guru Rocks Mocks Jeans

Mocks Jeans hosted their first ever show in NewsCafe on the 5th of may to showcase some of their extraordinary designs. To spice it up with some heat they scouted for one of the best top models they could find to represent them well and Guru happened to be one of them. Mocks began his schedule on Saturday in the afternoon where photoshots were taken for Jean adverts and billboards. All went well till the evening when the crew set out to prepare for the Fashion Show, despite the delays the crew managed to keep up with time along with 10 models, 5 guys and 5 girls. They also had one of their best artist perfoming, Junya Mocks and he did his job with an outstanding performance. So it was time for the models to do what they do best and thats making the brand look good. The Guru was the show stopper taking off last and the crowd went ballistic as he did a swift full turn and took off the jacket showing off his well built body. I tell you women went on like loose cannons. But all went well and the show was a success. The Guru was saitsfied, anyway he always enjoys what he does. Headlines: Guru For KFC advert

With such a short notice the Guru had a call from someone which we cant mension yet (anonymous agent) to actually participate in the KFC advert on the final shooting date this week. The Guru's statement is that he sees this as a loop hole the chance he always has been waiting fot and now that he has we will see more of him. The Final call is Thursday and thats where he intends to be and now he is on his preparation cause as we know he always brings his best to game.
So followers the Guru lives up to the standard! Big things are coming! The rain-man plans to hail on them!

The Guru will be seen live at NewsCafe in KarenPark showcasing Mocks Jeans. 

The Guru has been out of action for quite a long time now and people are starting to wonder and doubt whether the Guru has still got it. Haters are busy sitting on the couch feeding on potatoes fascinated about the disappearance of S.A's next top model. Well I have been out of action cause I went out to learn and study the ways of this insane Industry make no lies I have along the line lost my way. But now Chris Mocks has given me an opportunity to rise to fame and beyond once more.
